The Limited Edition Sketchbook Project

Now, call me crazy but even before I'd finished my sketchbook Project 2012, I'd signed up for the Limited Edition Sketchbook Project.

OK yes, call me crazy.

There were a limited number of places (hence the title!) and at 2,000 entry spaces I thought it would be a great opportunity to do a little gem of a book.  I signed up, picked my title, and allocated the month after the deadline for my 2012 Sketchbook to work on it.  Life, somehow, had other plans.  As always the final page suffered somewhat - this always seems to be the case with the Sketchbook project.  BUT I'm really pleased with the overall look and feel and is it genuinely a Limited Edition Sketchbook.

As you can see in the photo above, I took out all the original pages and rebound my book with lovely thick watercolour paper.  I wanted to have a wishy-washy feel to the colours and this requires a lot of water so it had to be able to withstand this.  The watercolour paper also gives it that added extra special feel, well i think so.

I worked on this little book at Craft Club @ Ship Shape Studio, which you can read about here.
